Brian Walshe sentenced to life without parole in murder of his wife

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Brian Walshe has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the murder of his wife Ana Walshe, according to our ABC affiliate WCVB Boston.

Walshe was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder on Monday.

In addition to the first-degree murder sentence, Walshe was also sentenced to serve 19-20 years for misleading police and to three years for unlawful disposal of Ana Walshe’s body.

These sentences will be served consecutively to Walshe’s life sentence in state prison.

Walshe was convicted of murdering his wife Ana on or around New Year’s Day 2023.

Police say that he murdered his wife and dismembered her body and then disposed of it in dumpsters around their hometown of Cohasset, Massachusetts.

The life sentence comes with an automatic appeal to the Supreme Judicial Court, according to WCVB.
