Brown Picked To Finish Fourth In Ivy League Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – Less than a month before the 2023-24 season officially tips off, the Ivy League released its Preseason Poll and Brown men’s basketball was picked to finish fourth.
Brown earned 77 total points in the poll as voted on by media representatives.
Yale was voted the preseason favorite with 124 points and 14 first place votes, 2023 NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant Princeton earned two first place votes and followed with 110 total points, and Cornell rounded out the top three with 80 points.

The season begins on the road on Monday, November 6 when the Bears visit 2023 Patriot League Tournament champion Colgate for a 7 p.m. tip.
Brown returns 2023 All-Ivy First Team guard Kino Lilly Jr. ’25, who enters his junior campaign ranked No. 10 in program history with 150 career three-pointers. The team’s leading scorer in 2022-23, Lilly Jr. averaged 16.9 points, good for third in the league. Forward Nana Owusu-Anane ’25 made 24 starts last season and averaged 10.3 points and 8.2 rebounds, second most in the Ivy.
Kalu Anya ’26 made 17 starts and shined as a first year with 8.2 points and 6.2 rebounds/game averages. Aaron Cooley ’25 (21 starts), Kimo Ferrari ’24 (24 appearances) and Malachi Ndur ’24 (16 games) all started at least one game last season. Felix Kloman ’24 (19 games), Landon Lewis ’26 (16 games), Lyndel Erold ’25, Sam Klores ’25 and AJ Lesburt Jr. ’26 also saw action.
