Department of Health recommends closing Kent County YMCA for swimming, reopens 2 others

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended closing Kent County YMCA to swimming Thursday.
The department said that bacteria levels tested at unsafe levels.
RIDOH also recommended reopening Oakland Beach and Conimicut Beach in Warwick after they were closed this week.
Officials said the department of health will continue to monitor the quality of the water and release changes as new data becomes available.
