District attorney says Patriots fan who died after incident at Gillette Stadium suffered ‘medical issue’

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday a New England Patriots fan who died after an incident at Gillette Stadium during a football game suffered a “medical issue.”
The wife of Dale Mooney said he was taunted by Miami Dolphins fans during the Sunday night game — leading to a fight where another man allegedly punched him in the head three times.
“Preliminary autopsy results did not suggest traumatic injury,” said the district attorney’s office.
Massachusetts State Police said Mooney “suffered an apparent medical event” in the 300 section of Gillette Stadium.
Mooney’s cause of death remains under investigation.
