Fall River police investigate what led up to shooting of 14-year-old boy

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Police in Fall River are investigating after a teenage boy was shot in the face on Thursday night.
Police responded to the Maple Gardens housing development around 8 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Officers found a 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

The boy was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police said the investigation is “extremely fluid.”
Police also told ABC 6 News the shooting “likely did not occur in the manner in which it was initially reported.”
