Federal Hill robbery suspect killed by U.S. Marshals in New Jersey

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WLNE) — A man wanted in connection with an armed robbery on Federal Hill in August 2023 was shot and killed by U.S. Marshals in New Jersey Thursday.

Shamar Leggette was a suspect in the robbery and shooting of a man.

Police said Leggette was also wanted in connection with an armed robbery in New York and was a suspect in a murder in Pennsylvania.

Marshals responded to a tip about a motel where Leggette was staying, and they alleged that he shot at them.

The marshals returned fire and killed him.
