One day ahead of the MLB trade deadline, a Rhode Islander is at the center of a deal.

Former Bishop Hendricken pitcher Alex Clemmey has been traded from the Guardians organization to the Nationals.

Clemmey was drafted in the second round by Cleveland in 2023.
