Four arrested by Warwick Police DUI Task Force on Friday

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – The Warwick Police Department’s DUI Task Force made a total of four DUI arrests on Friday night.

The department deployed six teams of officers, with two officers per team dedicated to specifically detect and arrest impaired drivers.

According to Captain Michael Lima, the following results were achieved:

  • 8 total arrests
  • 4 DUI arrests
  • 5 total SFSTs were performed (one passed)
  • 61 total contacts
  • 34 citations
  • 14 speeding citations
  • 18 other citations
  • 34 total warnings

The Warwick Police Department, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and RIDOT reminds everyone about the dangers of drinking and driving.
