Governor Raimondo to Decide if Stay-at-home Order Will be Lifted

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – A Spokesperson for Governor Raimondo’s office said she will be addressing the possibility of lifting the stay-at-home order at her Thursday briefing.

The stay-at-home order was signed by the governor on March 28.

The topic of lifting the order comes ahead of the governor’s phase 1 plan to slowly re-open the state’s economy, which was discussed in her previous briefing.

Phase 1 is expected to be enacted over the weekend.

In phase 1, new regulations would be tailored towards specific industries, with some falling under the “guidance” category, as opposed to required compliance.

Further details on the new regulations are also expected to be discussed during Thursday’s briefing.

New regulations are posted on the Reopening R.I. website.

Gov. Raimondo is set to give her daily briefing at 1 p.m.
