Dr. Brad Turchetta, who owns the Airport Road property, told ABC6 back in February that the franchise had pulled permits to begin construction on the building.

A spokesperson for Mayor Joseph Solomon’s office also confirmed the permits were pulled.

The Hooters parent company sued the owner of the Warwick location back in 2016 after it claimed they had abandoned the building, and the building’s conditions were ‘beyond disgusting’ thus damaging the national brand.

The restaurant closed in 2014 because of damage suffered from a snowstorm.
