Jury selection moving along in Brian Walshe murder trial

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Jury selection is ongoing in the murder trial of Brian Walshe, who is facing a first-degree murder charge stemming from the 2023 disappearance of his wife.

Nine jurors have been seated and five have been dismissed so far Wednesday.

12 jurors will eventually be seated for the trial, plus four alternates.

Walshe shocked the courtroom Tuesday when he pleaded guilty to two of three charges against him.

He pleaded guilty to charges of misleading police and unlawful disposal of a body.

He did not plead guilty to the third charge of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say that Walshe murdered his wife Ana in their Cohasset home around New Year’s Day in 2023 and dismembered and disposed of her body.

Her remains have not been found.
