Kickoff to Bristol’s 4th of July begins with Flag Day
BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — Every year, from Flag Day until the 4th of July, the town of Bristol is painted red, white and blue.
Dozens of events happen nearly every day in the place coined “America’s Most Patriotic Town,” put on entirely by a team of hard-working volunteers, many of which are taking over in their parents and grandparents footsteps to keep the celebrations alive.
Wednesday’s Flag Day festivities paved the way for history to come to life. ABC 6 News Anchor Tiffany Murphy caught up with the Town Crier, who is continuing a long-standing tradition of making sure everyone in the city stays in the know.
