Legendary Swimming Coach Mick Westkott To Retire After 50 Years At URI

Legendary men’s & women’s swimming coach Mick Westkott is retiring after 50 years at the University of Rhode Island.

Westkott helped get the men’s program off the ground in 1972 & then helped to establish the women’s program starting in 1975.

ABC6 Sports Director Nick Coit talked with Westkott Friday about his career and his decision to call it a career.
