Making the Team: Rookie Chad Ryland in Kicker Competition

The Patriots drafted kicked Chad Ryland in the fourth round this spring, a relatively high selection for the position.

Ryland, out of Maryland, is competing with incumbent Nick Folk for the Patriots’ placekicker job.

The newcomer is already accountable, make or miss, saying, “If I kick it, I own it.”
