Man accused of assaulting Rhode Island Hospital nurse to face judge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man accused of assaulting a Rhode Island Hospital nurse is set to face a judge.

George Bower, 37, allegedly assaulted the nurse in an inpatient unit on Friday.

Bower is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Providence District Court.

He’s being charged with assault health care providers/emergency services medical personnel and felony assault and/or battery, according to court records.

The nurse’s condition wasn’t immediately known.
