Man accused of killing teen hockey player in DUI crash to face judge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The former Newport firefighter accused of killing one teen and injuring another in a DUI crash will face a judge today.

Alexander Krajewski, 32, will face a judge in a plea deal today.

On Feb. 12, 2022, Krajewski crashed his car into another which contained two teenagers in a head-on collision.

The teenage driver, Kevin MacDonald, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries to his arm and leg.

The passenger of the vehicle, Matt Dennison, succumbed to his injuries one month after the crash at Rhode Island Hospital.

Matt’s family and friends are expected to be present at court today.
