McKee administration wraps up initial interviews for new lieutenant governor of Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Governor McKee’s team wrapped up the first round of interviews for the state’s lieutenant governor position.
The Governors Office said each and every applicant for the job was offered an interview. Initial interviews finished up this week.
After accepting the position, the new lieutenant governor will carry out the rest of McKee’s term, which concludes in November 2022.
McKee spokesperson Andrea Palagi told ABC6 News the following applicants all received an initial interview:

Palagi said at the end of the process, several applicants will have a final interview with the Governor before he makes his selection.
Those conducting the interviews are Tony Afonso, Channavy Chhay, Dr. Catarina DaSilva, Brad Dean, Rosa DeCastillo, Erin Donovan Boyle, Brendan Doherty, Craig Dwyer, Chris Farrell, Paulette Hamilton, Bill Murray, Jennifer Ortiz, Mayor Polisena, Armand Sabatoni, and Kristin Urbach.
Interviews are being held at CFO Compliance LLC in Providence.
McKee was sworn in as the 76th Governor of Rhode Island in March, following the resignation of Gina Raimondo who was confirmed as the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
