McKee announces legal team for Washington Bridge review
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee announced Friday that he was hired investigative attorney Max Wistow and attorney Jonathan Savage to investigate any financial recovery from any parties responsible for the Washington Bridge failure.
Wistow, of Wistow, Sheehan and Loveley specializes in multi-party legislation.
He was the lead attorney who recovered $70 million for Rhode Island in the 38 Studios case, and his firm was involved in obtaining the $176 million settlement for Station fire victims.
Jonathan Savage is a partner at Savage Law Partners, LLP, which has extensive experience in construction law.
Among the legal team’s early priorities is to review the forensic analysis of the bridge being conducted by Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates and McNary, Bergeron & Johannesen, the outside experts brought in by McKee’s office to review the findings of the bridge’s failure.
“We want to make it very clear, any responsible parties will be held fully accountable, and we will use every tool at our disposal to achieve that goal,” said Governor Dan McKee.
