‘Miracle Baby’ born at 22 weeks turns 5
Doctors told her parents she likely wouldn't survive after being born at 22 weeks

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island’s very own ‘Xena the Warrior Princess’ turned five this year, after doctors told her parents that she would not make it to her first birthday.
Xena-Faye’s mother, Elizabeth Faboyede, gave birth to her daughter pre-maturely at just 22 weeks in 2019 at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston.
The parents of this warrior princess were previously told that Xena-Faye would need to be in the NICU for the first year of her life.
Additionally, they were warned that she would most likely not make it past her first birthday.
Other concerns were that she would not be able to reach crucial milestones like crawling, walking, or talking.
Despite all the concerns, Xena-Faye kept fighting for her life. Four months after she was born, her parents brought her home for the first time.
Xena-Faye continued to surprise doctors with her progress.
Elizabeth shared with ABC6 that her daughter celebrated her fifth birthday and loves to dance, sing, and create art.
