Murder suspect Walshe stuns with guilty plea on two of three charges
DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — In an unexpected turn of events, murder suspect Brian Walshe has pleaded guilty to two of three charges in the trial stemming from the alleged 2023 murder and dismemberment of his wife.
Walshe pleaded guilty to misleading the police and unlawfully disposing of a body, but has not pleaded guilty to charge three, which is first-degree murder.
According to prosecutors, Walshe allegedly murdered his wife Ana Walshe on or around New Year’s Day 2023 in their Cohasset home.
Authorities believe that Walshe then dismembered and disposed of her body, which still has not been found.
The prosecution said that Walshe was suspicious that his wife was having an affair.
Jury selection is still underway in the case, with an intended trial start date of December 1.
