Pawtucket man sentenced for ghost guns, drug trafficking

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Pawtucket man has been sentenced to nine years at the ACI after pleading to an array of charges related to firearms and drugs.

Ferdinando Lombardi pleaded nolo contendre to one count of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, one count of possession of a ghost gun among others.

Lombardi was sentenced to 15 years with nine to serve at the ACI and a six-year suspended sentence.

Lombardi will also serve 15 years probation upon release.

The defendant was investigated starting in March of 2023 as Rhode Island State Police and task force members suspected him of being involved with Providence area drug trafficking.

Surveillance of Lombardi’s home on Windmill Street in Pawtucket observed what investigators believed was drug trafficking-related behavior.

On March 28, investigators apprehended Lombardi in his driveway before entering the building.

A search warrant yielded 137 fentanyl tablets. 9.23 grams of cocaine, 24 guns, including a ghost gun, ghost gun lower kits and assemblies.

A large capacity magazine and approximately $7,521 in cash were also recovered.

“Through continued partnership between our local and state law enforcement agencies we are able to effectively disrupt the flow of illegal narcotics and firearms throughout Rhode Island,” said Colonel Darnell S. Weaver, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police.
