PC Athletics Selling T-Shirts To Raise Funds For Rhode Island Food Bank

Providence College Press Release

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College Athletic Department announced today (April 29) that it is hosting a t-shirt fundraiser in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Proceeds that are raised from the initiative will be donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

“These are very difficult times for everyone,” Providence College Athletic Director Bob Driscoll said.  “In Friartown, we are always looking for ways that we can help, and this is one way that we felt we could partner with a great organization in our community.  Thus, we are offering these shirts for sale with all the proceeds going to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.  We appreciate all the support of our great Friar fans.”

Senior Associate Athletic Director Steven Napolillo believes in the positive impact that this fundraiser will have on the local community.

“We know that many people are going through difficult financial times during this pandemic,” Napolillo said. “All of us in Friartown feel that this initiative can help the Rhode Island Community Food Bank raise critical funds to help families in the community. Every Friar fan can help make a huge difference for so many by purchasing one shirt. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is an amazing charity that Providence College is proud to support. We look forward to getting through these unchartered times together.”

The online store will be open until through Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
