Pelosi to attend rally in support of Foulkes in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be in Providence this weekend in support of a gubernatorial candidate.

Pelosi will be joining Helena Buonanno Foulkes and Mayor Jorge Elorza at a rally Sunday at Farm Fresh Rhode Island.

In July, Foulkes received a key endorsement from Elorza ahead of the upcoming Democratic primary.

The former CVS executive is in the race against Gov. Dan McKee, former Secretary of State Matt Brown, Secretary of State Nellie Gorbeia and Dr. Luis Daniel Muñoz.

The primary election is on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
