Prout Sweeps Defending Champion Barrington to win First Softball Title

Four fourth inning runs and another gem in the circle from junior pitcher Vanessa Oatley secured Prout’s first ever volleyball championship.

The Crusaders beat defending Division II champion Barrington 5-1 in a winner-take-all championship game Wednesday at Rhode Island College.

Prout came out of the losers’ bracket, and forced the decisive second game by way of a no hitter from Oakley on Monday.
