PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Providence Bruins honored two teens on Saturday night, who were involved in last month’s fatal car crash.

Kevin MacDonald, captain of the West Warwick-Exeter-West Greenwich hockey team, was gifted a custom jersey of Matthew Dennison in his honor.

Kevin was accompanied by Matthew‘s mom, dad, sister and girlfriend on the ice during the ceremony. Bruins defensemen Josiah Didier gifted MacDonald the jersey.

Both teens were captains of their high school hockey team. Dennison died Thursday from the crash after the two were hit by a drunk driver.
