Providence police arrest 4 in East Side movie theater scare

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said Thursday they arrested four teenagers after a scare incident at an East Side movie theater last week
The incident happened at the Avon Cinema on Thayer Street on June 27.
Cmdr. Kevin Lanni said Phynell Muskelly, Eric Pena, Jevren Powell — all 19 years old — and a juvenile snuck into the theater and caused panic by screaming and creating a commotion.
Initially, police said the teens used the word “bomb” outside of the theater.
However, after reviewing video, they determined the word “bomb” was never used. Instead, they allegedly screamed “gun.”
All four suspects will appear in court at a later date.
According to a police report, 102 people were at the theater at the time of the disturbance.
