Red Sox Select Pitcher Kyson Witherspoon In First Round, Make Four Picks on Day 1 of MLB Draft

The Boston Red Sox were busy on Day 1 of the MLB Draft Sunday.

In the first round (15th overall), the team selecting Oklahoma pitcher Kyson Witherspoon.

The Sox following that up with three more selections on Sunday night.

At number 33 overall, Boston taking another pitcher in Tennessee righty Marcus Phillips.

The Sox going with a position player at number 75 in Virginia shortstop Henry Godbout.

And Boston topping off the night with one more pitcher taking LSU’s Anthony Eyanson at number 87.
