Rhody’s Jaden House Named A10 Player of the Week

Rhode Island’s Jaden House has been named the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

He is the first Ram to begin the season with two straight 20-point games in 12 years. Jamal Wilson had 38 against George Mason and 24 at Texas to start the 2011-12 campaign.

For the week, House averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game and was plus-37 in 56 minutes of playing time. He shot .655 from the floor (19-for-29), including 5-for-8 from 3-point range. Against Fairfield, House scored his 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field, becoming the 14th player in program history to shoot .818 or better on at least 10 field goal attempts in a single game.

House is the first Ram to earn Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors since Cyril Langevine did so for the week of Feb. 10, 2020.
