Rivalry Renewed: Bishop Hendricken and La Salle to Clash for State Championship

They meet again.

For the eighth time in the past ten high school football seasons, it’s Bishop Hendricken vs. La Salle for the state championship.

The Hawks have earned the crown nine of the past 10 seasons, but in 2017, the Rams took home the trophy.

This year, it’s unique. The regular season meeting was canceled because of COVID-19 protocol, so this will be the first and only showdown.

The high school football season being played in the spring has also postponed the championships a few months.
