WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Sen. Josh Miller will be arraigned in Kent County District Court on Tuesday on a vandalism charge.

Miller, a Democrat representing District 28 in Cranston, is accused of keying an SUV with a “Biden Sucks” sticker at the Garden City Center last month.

Police body-worn camera footage shows two men telling officers they went into a store and heard a loud scratching noise when they returned to their vehicle.

Miller initially told police on scene that he felt threatened by the owner of the SUV, and that he started the incident.

He later admitted to damaging the vehicle, but said the owner had yelled at him and “dared” him to do it.

Miller was charged with vandalism/malicious injury to property.

He was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

Some are calling for Miller to resign from his position after the incident.
