Tickets on sale for A Wish Come True Fundraiser
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island’s oldest wish granting organization is celebrating forty years of helping children with life threatening illnesses. During that time, Executive Director of a Wish Come True, Mary-Kate O’Leary says the non-profit has granted some 1,700 wishes.
But over the years, A Wish Come True has grown from granting amazing wishes like dream vacations at Disney to helping families on a long-term basis deal with the ongoing health battles their children face as well as the financial burden and the mental and emotional health of the rest of the family.
A Wish is able to do this through generous donations and events like the 40th Anniversary Gala.
The exciting, black-tie event with a silent auction will offer food, music and dancing.
