WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The trial in a January 2022 traffic death is set to begin today.

17-year-old Olivia Passaretti was killed in a hit-and-run on I-95 South in Warwick on New Year’s Day in 2022.

Alicia Peckham was charged with duty to stop in accident resulting in death, obstruction, and harboring a criminal, after allegedly picking up her boyfriend, Aramis Segura.

Segura was seen by good Samaritans getting out of his mangled car, and walking into the walls to allegedly call Peckham to pick him up from the crash.

They both have pled not guilty.

Peckham’s trail is set to start at 9 a.m. in Kent Count Superior Court.

Segura’s trial is set for August.
