Trip To South Carolina Highlights PC Women’s Hoops Non-Conference Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women’s basketball Head Coach Erin Batth unveiled her team’s 2025-26 non-conference schedule on June 23. The Friars will play eight of their 11 regular-season non-conference games at home in Alumni Hall.

Providence College will host NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Oct. 29 before officially tipping off the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 4 against Howard.

The Friars also will host Central Connecticut (Nov. 10), Boston College (Nov. 15), Northeastern (Nov. 18) and Yale (Nov. 21) as part of a five-game home stand to open the 2025-26 season.

Providence will be one of eight teams competing in the second annual Emerald Coast Classic on Nov. 24-25. The event will be held at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla. The Friars will compete in the Bay Bracket along with Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee State and Alcorn State. Providence will face Middle Tennessee in its first game, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Mississippi State and Alcorn State will follow at 2:30 p.m. (ET). The third-place game will be played at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 25 with the championship game scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (ET).

Upon completion of the Emerald Coast Classic, Providence will return to Alumni Hall to host intrastate foes, Bryant (Nov. 30) and Rhode Island (Dec. 10). The Friars will close out the home portion of their non-conference schedule against Stonehill on Dec. 13.

Providence’s final non-conference game of the 2025-26 slate will be played in Columbia, S.C. against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Dec. 28.

The BIG EAST Conference slate will be released at a later date and tip times will be added to the schedule on Friars.com as they are solidified.
