UPDATE: Christopher Heron sentenced to life in prison in 2021 Seekonk murder

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Today the man found guilty in a 2021 murder in Seekonk was sentenced.

Christopher Heron was sentenced to life in state prison in Fall River Superior Court Monday on a conviction of second degree murder.

He is one of the two people charged in the death of 66-year-old Joseph Housley, Sr.

Housley was shot to death at an apartment on Forsythe Circle.

Heron and Housley’s son, Joseph Housley, Jr. were indicted by a grand jury more than a year later.

Heron was found guilty back in June.

Housley’s son has a trial date later this month.
