How it Happened
Rhode Island continued its winning ways, defeating Saint Louis 60-52 Wednesday night. It was the 10th straight victory and seventh conference win for the Rams.

Saint Louis (6-12, 2-4 A-10) jumped to a 8-3 start early in the first quarter, but the Rams fired back using an 8-2 run to get on top 11-10. Two baskets from Dez Elmore and Marie-Paule Foppossi give Rhody a 15-14 lead to end the period. The Rams carried the momentum into the second, with Chanell Williams opening the quarter with a fast break layup. Rhody pushed its advantage to seven after another Elmore bucket to go into the break 28-21.

The Rams had their biggest lead in the third, going up by as many as 11 points thanks to a Foppossi jumper. SLU wouldn’t go away though, battling back to get within five after six unanswered points. That was as close as the Billikens would get, as the Rams held their 10th straight opponent to less than 60 points for the win.
