Warwick parents arrested in connection with drowning of 3-year-old

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said that two people were arrested in connection with the drowning death of a 3-year-old boy that occurred in August.
Chief Bradford Connor said the child’s parents, Kaitlyn Nolan, 31, and David Holloway, 32, were both arrested and charged.
Nolan was charged with five counts of cruelty to or neglect of a child.
Holloway was charged with two counts of child endangerment, five counts of cruelty to or neglect of a child, one count of unnecessary cruelty to animals resulting in death, and one count of unnecessary cruelty to animals.
According to police, at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 28, officers were dispatched to Gorham Avenue for a report of a 3-year-old possibly drowning.
Warwick firefighters also arrived to the scene and attempted to resuscitate the boy.
He was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:42 p.m.
Nolan was released on $5,000 with surety.
Holloway’s bail was set at $50,000 personal recognizance along with special conditions recommended by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
