RIDOH reports 883 new COVID-19 cases, 13 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 883 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Health officials said out of the 9,247 tests administered the state collected a 9.5% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 13 additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 3,329.

There are currently 362 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 36 of these patients are in the ICU while 28 are on a ventilator.
