Providence police say there are at least 2 suspects in shooting that killed 15-year-old
The shooting marks Providence's fifth homicide of 2022.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police say at this point, they believe there are at least two suspects in connection to a shooting that killed a 15-year-old boy over the weekend.
Police were called to Wallace Street Saturday, where Ger’Vonte Tilson was shot and killed just before midnight.
During a press conference Monday, Maj. David Lapatin said Tilson, who’s 15 years old, was in the neighborhood with two adults.
The shooting appears to be targeted but it is not known whether it was related to gang violence at this time, Lapatin said.
The shooting marks Providence’s fifth homicide of 2022.
No arrest have been made at this time and no suspect information has been provided at this time.
Lapatin said there is more information investigators have but are not releasing at this time.
