11th Hour Racing wins penultimate leg of the Ocean Race

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS (WLNE) — The Ocean Race has said that the 11th Hour Racing of Newport won the race’s sixth leg.
The penultimate, and shortest, leg of the race set sail Thursday and ran from Aarhus, Denmark to The Hague, Netherlands.
The victory is the 11th Hour’s third in a row, as it also won the fourth leg from Itajaí, Brazil to Newport and the fifth leg from Newport to Aarhus.
The 11th Hour is now in first place with 33 points, followed by Team Holcim-PRB with 31.
Leg seven of the race will set sail on Thursday, June 15, and will bring the race to its grand finale in genova, Italy.
The Ocean Race put a spotlight on the state’s sailing culture when it brought a leg to Newport, the home port of the 11th Hour.
