EXETER, R.I. (WLNE) – Governor Raimondo along with other state leaders gathered at the Veterans Cemetery in Exeter this morning, to honor fallen troops.

A wreath laying ceremony was held to remember the Rhode Island veterans who sacrificed their lives for our country.

“Every year we set aside this day to remember the heroes who’ve given their lives in the service of our country,” Raimondo said.  “And the truth is, in spite of the challenges we’re facing this year, nothing is going to stop us from taking today to honor our service member to honor our veterans to honor those who’ve given the last full measure of devotion and service to this country.”
