R.I. House of Representatives approve $12.8 budget

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The House of Representatives in R.I. has approved a $12.8 billion budget. The decision unusually taking place in December due to the pandemic.

The vote was 59 to 6 in favor of the tax-and-spending plan.

The budget includes $400 million worth of bond questions. Voters will vote to approve these questions in a special election on March 2.

The budget goes to the Senate for consideration on Friday.
