RIDOH reports 550 new cases of coronavirus, 10 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the state’s latest coronavirus data on Friday.

The state reported 550 new cases of COVID-19. Out of the 19,057 tests administered on Thursday, the positivity rate was 2.9%.

RIDOH reported 10 coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday, marking the state’s death toll at 2,154.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 324 Rhode Islanders are hospitalized.

Of those hospitalized, 50 patients are in the ICU while 31 are on a ventilator.

So far, 22,983 Rhode Islanders are fully vaccinated.
