DOH reinstates doctor accused of exposing patients, staff to COVID-19

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reinstated the medical license of a doctor accused of intentionally exposing his patients and staff to COVID-19.
Dr. Anthony Farina’s license was suspended in January after he continued to go into work after testing positive for the coronavirus. He treated his patients who were not aware he was sick.
Farina’s medical privileges were restored on February 23 after the Department of Health determined that Farina was no longer a danger to the public.
Farina has denied all accusations.
Dr. Farina’s practices are identified as the Center of New England Primary Care Inc., Center of New England Urgent Care Inc., Physicians Weight Loss & Medical Services Inc., North Providence Primary Care Associates Inc., North Providence Urgent Care Inc. and East Greenwich Urgent Care, Inc.
