RIDOH reports 259 new cases of COVID-19, no deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 259 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday.
Health officials said out of the 16,914 tests administered on Thursday, the state collected a 1.5%% positivity rate.
Rhode Island reported no deaths, meaning the state’s total remained at 2,660.
Since mid-December, 509,817 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 345,980 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
The total amount of doses administered sits at 818,406.
