Crook Point Bridge passes RIDOT inspection after bridge fire
The sale of the Bridge with the city of Providence will go on as planned
PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The upright bridge has been deemed structurally sound by the Department of Transportation despite a major fire in June.
That means the sale of the Crook Point Bridge with the City of Providence will go on as planned/
RIDOT sold the bridge to Providence for a $1.00.
Providence plans to develop it into a community space.
RIDOT says it had to remove 60 pieces of decaying wood during the inspection.
