Deadline closes to file for chance at Cicilline’s 1st Congressional District seat

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Candidates are almost out of time to sign up for their chance at Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District seat.
The deadline to be considered for former Congressman David Cicilline’s seat is at 4 p.m. Friday.
The following candidates have filed for his spot:

- Former White House staffer Gabe Amo (D)
- Mickeda Barnes (D)
- Stephanie Beaute (D)
- Walter Berbrick (D)
- Don Carlson (D)
- Providence City Councilor John Goncalves (D)
- Larry Hutchinson (D)
- Paul LeBon (D)
- Spencer Dickinson (D)
- Sen. Ana Quezada (D)

The seat became available when Cicilline announced in February that he was leaving Congress to take over as the head of the Rhode Island Foundation.
