Fall River man accused of impregnating 14-year-old daughter held without bail

A Fall River man accused of impregnating his 14-year-old daughter faced a Massachusetts judge Monday.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office told ABC 6 News the judge found Roque Garcia-Ortiz was to be dangerous and was ordered held without bail.

Garcia-Ortiz was arrested in early April in Georgia after Fall River police said the 50-year-old raped and impregnated his 14-year-old daughter.

Police said they believe he was planning to fly to Puerto Rico. The suspect was extradited to Massachusetts on April 25.

Garcia-Oritz was charged with three counts of rape, three counts of aggravated rape of a child, and one count of rape of child with force.
