Massachusetts to advance to next phase of reopening plan Monday

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Massachusetts is moving to the next phase of reopening, advancing to Step 1 of Phase 4 on Monday.

Large sports venues will be allowed to open at 12% capacity. Gathering limits for event venues and in public spaces are set to increase to 100 people indoors and 150 people outdoors.

Capacity will be capped at 12%, which for Fenway Park means about 4,500 fans, TD Garden would hold about 2,300 fans, and Gillette Stadium would allow roughly 8,000 founds when the Revolution kick off their season in April.

Outdoor gatherings at private residences will stay at a maximum of 25 people, and indoor gatherings at 10 people.

Dance floors will be allowed at weddings, and overnight summer camps are expected to run this upcoming summer.

On Friday, Governor Charlie Baker announced the state has fully vaccinated over one-million residents.
