Naval Station Newport lifts mask mandate

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE)- Naval Station Newport announced the lifting of the station wide mask mandate on Sunday.

The announcement came just two days after the CDC’s relaxation of its mask guidance for communities around the United States.

The change will also apply to the Commissary and NEX retail stores at the station.

Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should continue to wear a mask while at the station.
