New Bedford Soup Shop owner explains how his shop stayed open throughout the pandemic
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – The owner of a soup and sandwich shop in New Bedford has found ways to stay open and keep his business alive during the pandemic.
Devin Byrns owns “Destination Soups” on Union Street.
Byrns says they switched from full service to take-out and delivery back in March but never had a plan to fully close.
Part of that was because of their “Food for Seniors” program which helped to feed the elderly in the Bay State.
The Soups for Senior Program has been extended through the end of June.
